Plenty of celebrities whip out the extensions when they get the itch for longer hair, but Emma Stone is hardly the first person we think of when it comes to overnight inches. If there's anyone comfortable—and downright stunning—wearing shorter hairstyles, it's her. But it seems even Stone is susceptible to a little above-the-shoulder ennui, because over the weekend, she was seen in a new look that's easily her longest hair in years.

It was barely four months ago that we were kvelling over how long her hair had gotten since her Oscar-nominated buzz cut (OK, so the buzz cut itself wasn't nominated), hitting right at her shoulders in a newly less-red lob. But her hair has either grown nearly a foot in 16 weeks (highly unlikely), or she's sporting some seriously gorgeous extensions.

Stone revealed the new look at the Telluride Film Festival, where she was promoting two different films, You Can See Everything and The Debut. She joined co-stars onstage for discussions about the films, her loose, slightly side-parted waves displayed mostly over one shoulder. Her new highlights are still going strong, with more brightness at the ends and around the face and darker, perfectly blended roots.

Is this look for a third, in-progress film? Or perhaps she was inspired by her go-to hairstylist Mara Roszak's own long waves? We may not know until Stone appears in public in yet another new look. But if she wants to stick with long hair for a long time, we certainly wouldn't blame her.
